🍂 Swap the busy for something slower these school holidays…

A stay that has captured attention from The Design Files, Escape Magazine, Urban List, Broadsheet and The Advertiser, @thegreenlycarriage is anything but ordinary.

Set on the untouched West Coast of South Australia, this reimagined train carriage has been transformed into a boutique, sustainable, off-grid escape. Just a scenic drive from Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay, and the closest accommodation to the iconic Greenly Rock Pools, it is perfectly placed for an Eyre Peninsula adventure!

Privately nestled in the bush, this inside-is-outside retreat is all about space, solitude and creativity. Warm vintage interiors, cosy corners and expansive outdoor areas open out to sweeping ocean and countryside views… with not a neighbour in sight.

Spend your days exploring rugged coastline, fishing, swimming, surfing or hiking Mount Greenly. Then slow it right down — local seafood, a glass of wine, a crackling fire and a sunset over the ocean 🌊

A romantic, off-grid escape designed to help you switch off and reconnect with nature.

📍 Plan your autumn escape with the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre.

Now and then… a piece of Port Lincoln history brought back to life 🌿

Boston House was built in 1885 as a retirement home for Adelaide brewer Frederick Sison. Constructed from granite sourced from a local quarry, the home is believed to have been designed by Adelaide architects English and Soward.

Between 1918 and 1921, the property served as Port Lincoln’s local hospital before later returning to private ownership and use as function rooms.

Today, the historic site has been thoughtfully reimagined as Cobble + Stone — a beautiful event and function venue set on 13 acres of lush gardens and manicured lawns, overlooking the picturesque Boston Bay.

A timeless example of history meeting modern celebration in one unforgettable setting.

Looking for an unforgettable marine wildlife experience on the Eyre Peninsula? 🐬

Cruise through the pristine waterways of Coffin Bay and experience the magic of swimming with the rare Burrunan Dolphins in their natural environment with @sunsetcharterscoffinbay #burrunandolphins

As visitors to their home, dolphins are never pursued, fed or trained. These curious creatures often choose to come close to the boat, but every interaction is completely on their terms — making each encounter truly special.

Guests can enjoy two unique ways to experience the water:
• Swim in the front net of the catamaran
• Hold onto the mermaid tow lines at the back of the boat

This 5-hour experience explores some of the most remote and sheltered waterways of Coffin Bay, with everything included for a comfortable day on the water:

🌊 Snorkelling mask set
🌊 5mm hooded wetsuit and booties
🌊 Hot showers on deck
🌊 Brunch, tea, coffee, water and lunch catered.
🌊 Licensed bar available for additional purchases

Prefer to stay dry? Guests can also join as Dolphin Watch passengers and enjoy the incredible views from the deck as dolphins swim alongside the boat.

The boats, the buzz at the ramp, the early morning starts… it can only mean one thing — the Tuna Classic is back in Port Lincoln!

The Tuna Classic is more than just a fishing competition. It’s early starts, mateship on the water, and a community that shows up year after year. Volunteers, skippers, crews and families all coming together in the Seafood Capital of Australia to celebrate the thrill of chasing Southern Bluefin Tuna 🐟

Tomorrow marks the 20th year of this legendary competition, and we can’t wait to see the fleet roll out once again. To every crew heading out, we wish you tight lines, calm seas and plenty of luck 🎣

Here’s to the 20th chapter of a Port Lincoln tradition. Good luck to all competitors!

Did you know? 🤔

Port Lincoln sits on Boston Bay — one of the largest protected natural harbours in the world and around three times the size of Sydney Harbour. 🌊

Its sheltered waters have helped shape the region’s identity, supporting a thriving fishing, aquaculture and grain export industry — and helping earn Port Lincoln its title as the Seafood Capital of Australia. 🐟🌊🐟️ 🌊🐟️
