Mikkira Station Wild Koala Sanctuary is a tranquil, secluded, privately owned property 25km South of Port Lincoln near the Southern tip of Eyre Peninsula.
“The Best Place to See Wild Koalas Up Close!”
Many easily seen koalas live in the old gum trees, and kangaroos and emus freely roam around, unperturbed by people. The remains of old stone sheepyards and buildings are left to show the property’s history. You can camp there in the cooler months from April 15 until October.
Tours are also available to do with the property owner at 4.00pm.
Dogs are strictly not permitted on the property.
There are several canvas ‘Glamper Campers’ set up on the campground (with comfortable beds) that you can hire, or bring your own camper or caravan or tent.
There is a shelter shed, toilets, and a hot shower, and there is plenty of good water but no power available.
Campfires are permitted in containers only during winter.
Please bring your own wood.
