Join Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries and National Parks, Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board and Wildlife Service for a totally immersive experience as part of SALT Festival. Put on a pair of VR goggles and immerse yourself in the marine life of the ‘Great Southern Reef’. Experience the colourful giant Australian cuttlefish, friendly sea lions, sea dragons and what it is like to dive under Rapid Bay jetty surrounded by other divers and large schools of reef fish.
The session lasts 25 minutes. The experience starts with a VR dive safety briefing before a 15-minute 360 video experience via a 360 VR headset. There will be time at end of experience to ask the EMS team and marine biologist Shelley Paull about the marine life you have experienced and about the cameras and techniques used to capture the 360 video.
