At last year’s inaugural event, more than 30 pieces of art were submitted and showcased from creators right around Eyre Peninsula. While last year also incorporated poetry, this year we’re focussing on visual arts.
This event is open for submissions from the wider Eyre Peninsula community, to give artists from around the region who don’t have the time to organise their own show, or perhaps don’t have the body of work to host their own event, but still want to be a part of the SALT Festival.
Last year’s winner Beth Hammond’s stunning work ‘Looking Beyond’ was chosen by judge Deane Williams for its dynamic of having both “flat paint” and also “depth”.
Emma Fuss was awarded the Commendation for her oil painting ‘Spring Abundance’.
