SUMMARY:The Shape of Memory
DESCRIPTION:How do you paint memory? Have you ever looked at a portrait and wondered why additional objects have been included? Have you ever wondered about the objects painted in a Still Life painting? These things may tell you a little more about the person in the portrait or the painter of a Still Life setting. \nWell\, the Port Lincoln Art Group decided to make Still Life paintings that tell a story about the owner of the objects. The owner maybe an art group member\, they could be a friend or a family member. Why do these items mean a lot to them\, do they suggest what they love\, what they collect or what they are interested in? \nArt group members will present an exhibition of Still Life paintings that capture memory. Visitors will also have the opportunity to hear details of the “Still Life stories” by clicking on a QR code.

SUMMARY:Skinny - Cummins
DESCRIPTION:Step into the absurd world of shakes\, shapewear\, and shifty surgeons. Society is obsessed with achieving the ‘ideal’ body size. \nMichelle Pearson\, award winning vocalist and cabaret performer calls time on this societal chokehold in her bold and empowering cabaret-theatre piece SKINNY. \nInspired by her own personal journey\, Skinny is full of biting and hilarious commentary on the extraordinary lengths people go to in pursuit of being skinny. \nA masterful blend of storytelling\, comedy\, with a soundtrack from power ballads to reimagined pop songs\, including Pretty Hurts (Beyonce)\, I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Whitney Houston)\, Karma Police (Radiohead)\, Money (Pink Floyd)\, We Didn’t Start the Fire (Billy Joel)\, SKINNY has been widely acclaimed with 5 star reviews: \nSkinny made its Off-Broadway debut in NY and performed across the UK in 2025 receiving widespread audience acclaim. Having also presented Skinny at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2024 and the Adelaide Fringe in 2025\, where Michelle was awarded Best Cabaret (weekly) and the recipient of the Mental Health Commissioner’s Staging Change Award\, Michelle hits the road across South Australia in May 2026 accompanied by a four-piece cabaret band.

SUMMARY:Port Lincoln Long Lunch
DESCRIPTION:The Port Lincoln Long lunch is a collaboration of hospitality venues in Port Lincoln to provide the community an avenue where they are able to experience local produce\, wine\, beer and local musicians in a single day event. The Port Lincoln long Lunch began in 1998\, initiated by the Zonta Club of Port Lincoln to celebrate the abundance of local produce as well as the talented chefs and musicians. The original event was held in February\, later changing to coincide with the Adelaide Cup long weekend in May. The Long Lunch has continued to evolve with the event currently being run completely by the venues that participate. \nThe event is held across the venues that participate (currently 11 local venues) with all offering a selection small (entrée) size dishes as well as local and South Australian wine and beer. Patrons attending the event just need to choose their starting point from one of the 11 participating venues opting to either walk or catch the Long Lunch City Loop Bus. The Long Lunch City Loop Bus loops to each venue throughout the day with tickets for a day bus pass going towards both the cost of the bus and a charity the Long Lunch is raising funds for. \n The 2025 Port Lincoln Long Lunch will be held on Sunday 25th May\, details and menus to follow.

These large numbers of visitors significantly increase the number of people in the CBD\, which is positively managed with the wonderful assistance of our Cruise Ship Volunteers. In previous years Port Lincoln has received accolades as being voted as best port by passengers according to South Australian Tourism Commission market research. \nThe number of Cruise Ships to visit Port Lincoln continues to increase. We can’t wait for the 2025/2026 Cruise Ship season.  Many of the same cruise ships will return with a couple of new ones to visit for the first time. \nFrom the ship it is approximately a 10 minute walk along our beautiful foreshore to the CBD.  There is also plenty of things to see and do to enjoy our picturesque city. \nTours are bookable through the Visitor Information Centre please click link: Cruise Ship \nIf you have any questions please call the Visitor Information Centre on 1300 788 378. \nPlease note the table below is subject to change. *Updated on 25/5/25 \nCRUISE SHIPS 2025-2027 \n\n\n\nARRIVAL DATE\nCRUISE SHIP\nPASSENGERS\nCREW\n\n\nFriday 21 Nov 2025 6:00\nSILVER NOVA\n728\n544\n\n\nFriday 6 Mar 2026 6:30\nDISCOVERY PRINCESS\n3\,660\n1\,346\n\n\nSunday 8 Mar 2026 6:00\nSLIVER DAWN\n596\n411\n\n\nTuesday 24 Nov 2026 6:30\nGRAND PRINCESS\n2\,590\n1\,100\n\n\nSunday 28 Feb 2027 8:00\nAZAMARA QUEST\n704\n408\n\n\nSunday 21 Mar 2027  6:30\nSEABORN QUEST\n458\n335\n\n\nFriday 26 Mar 2027 6:30\nPACIFIC ADVENTURE\n2\,636\n1\,100
