DESCRIPTION:I will be singing several of Don Maclean’s songs a few being\, Vincent\, American Pie and Castles in The Air. I will sing many of his other songs that are not so well known but are so poignant in reflecting his commentary on life\, love and America’s influence in our world. There will be some discussion about his songs and their intent but mostly there will be singing. The audience will also be invited to participate in singing American Pie and By The Waters Of Babylon. \nSongs I may perform will include: \n– Crossroads \n– Empty Chairs \n– Bronco Bills Lament \n– Circus Song \n– What Can This Be \n– The Legend Of Andrew Mc Crew \nI will also share a few of my own songs I have written which demonstrate Don Maclean’s influence on my style of singing and writing.

SUMMARY:Love Notes to the Laundromat
DESCRIPTION:Love Notes to the Laundromat is a celebration of the shared spaces that bring people together. Part creative response\, part placemaking experiment\, Love Notes to the Laundromat is a collection of love notes written by local artist Eliza Wuttke to Third Places across Port Lincoln. A Third place is a communal place between home and work or school where people spend time. Eliza has spent the last six months visiting various Third Places in and around Port Lincoln and writing love notes to them. She’s visited traditional Third Places\, like the library\, jetty pool and parks as well as more obscure spaces where people pass time\, like the laundromat on a wet Sunday evening. Attendees are invited to write their own love notes to the places they hold dear and add them to the exhibition.

Exploring a range of colour combinations and with different sizes and types of surfaces from acrylic perspex\, canvas and board. \nBelle’s creative process is inspired by her deep love of wandering around in nature\, from the remote endless beaches around the EP to following kangaroo trails through the scrub\, this is the beginning of the process for all her work. Belles work explores the different shapes and textures she finds in nature\, and drawing from her knowledge of silversmithing techniques\, she captures the essence and beauty of the EP in her work.

DESCRIPTION:Join Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries and National Parks\, Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board and Wildlife Service for a totally immersive experience as part of SALT Festival. Put on a pair of VR goggles and immerse yourself in the marine life of the ‘Great Southern Reef’. Experience the colourful giant Australian cuttlefish\, friendly sea lions\, sea dragons and what it is like to dive under Rapid Bay jetty surrounded by other divers and large schools of reef fish. \nThe session lasts 25 minutes. The experience starts with a VR dive safety briefing before a 15-minute 360 video experience via a 360 VR headset. There will be time at end of experience to ask the EMS team and marine biologist Shelley Paull about the marine life you have experienced and about the cameras and techniques used to capture the 360 video.

The area is home to a wide variety of sea slugs\, snails\, chitons\, keyhole limpets\, and many other marine invertebrates. The rock pool search provides an opportunity for attendees to put their slug- and snail-finding and photography skills into practice. Please bring a waterproof camera or splashproof phone if you have one. \nNOTE: This event is for adults\, and for children aged 8 years and over who are accompanied by an adult. \nNOTE: Some rocks at Crinoline Point intertidal Reef can be slippery. For safety reasons\, participants in this event should have full mobility and must wear suitable non-slip footwear (e.g. reef shoes or sneakers/sports shoes). For safety NO THONGS OR SANDALS ARE PERMITTED. \nNOTE: All participants need to attend on time\, for the compulsory safety briefing about reef hazards.

DESCRIPTION:Love Notes to the Laundromat is a celebration of the shared spaces that bring people together. Part creative response\, part placemaking experiment\, Love Notes to the Laundromat is a collection of love notes written by local artist Eliza Wuttke to Third Places across Port Lincoln. A Third place is a communal place between home and work or school where people spend time. Eliza has spent the last six months visiting various Third Places in and around Port Lincoln and writing love notes to them. She’s visited traditional Third Places\, like the library\, jetty pool and parks as well as more obscure spaces where people pass time\, like the laundromat on a wet Sunday evening. Attendees are invited to write their own love notes to the places they hold dear and add them to the exhibition.

Exploring a range of colour combinations and with different sizes and types of surfaces from acrylic perspex\, canvas and board. \nBelle’s creative process is inspired by her deep love of wandering around in nature\, from the remote endless beaches around the EP to following kangaroo trails through the scrub\, this is the beginning of the process for all her work. Belles work explores the different shapes and textures she finds in nature\, and drawing from her knowledge of silversmithing techniques\, she captures the essence and beauty of the EP in her work.
